Key West, FL—On May 20-21, a team of dedicated Apobiologix employees and Benchworks partners joined forces to run in the KEYS100 Ultramarathon Race which exclusively benefited "The Cancer Foundation of the Florida Keys, Inc." This organization has been the primary recipient of the KEYS100 funding for the past 7 years. "The Cancer Foundation of the Florida Keys, Inc." provides support to patients and their families with financial assistance, educational materials and information, cancer screenings, emotional support, follow-up and referral services for prostate, breast, colon and other forms of cancer. It is estimated that the 2016 race raised approximately $15,000 for the organization.
The Apobiologix-sponsored Relay Team covered 100 miles, from Key Largo to Key West, in the blistering heat and completed the race in 18 hours, 57 minutes and 20 seconds. Participating from Apobiologix were: Steve Lydeamore, President; Karen Rice, Marketing Director; and Caitlin Hawthorne, Senior Marketing Manager. Participants from Benchworks included Melissa Johnston, President; Erin Wilson, Account Executive; Sally Reed, VP, Digital Director; Shellie Cavanagh, Accounts Payable Specialist and Krista Teat, Project Manager.
